Dempsey's is the 2nd oldest brewery in the state. Family run, with a fun atmosphere and Award-Winning Staff. From our 21+ Tap lines, house brewed beers (as well as Root beer / Cream Soda), to a full menu with made from scratch recipes, a full liquor rail, and 160+ seats, we've got something for everyone. During the Summer we have deck / outdoor seating. In Winter we have a warm fireplace, and decor like you wouldn't believe. Flags fly high around the restaurant, and we have a terrific crew. Eponymous Brewing Company is the passion project of Kyle McElhany and Sean Weber. Mac’s background in microbiology and Weber’s business background, combined with a mutual love of craft beer resulted in the formation of Eponymous Brewing Company in 2017.

We strive to inject identity in our beers, by incorporating local ingredients – including grains, fruits, hops, wild yeast/bacteria, and barrels from regional wineries – and pushing the boundaries of production by melding time-tested techniques with the advances of modern brew science to create novel, high-quality offerings.

We are an independent craft brew pub located steps from the center of downtown Brookings, SD. We are proud to be the favorite place for locals and visitors to meet friends for a pint of fresh beer and share conversation over a cracker crust pizza from our kitchen.
